this week was absolutely terrible. for whatever reason, none of our kids wanted to listen to us at any of the schools, and they were just so disrespectful. and i told the kids repeatedly that they wouldnt disrespect us that way, but im pretty sure they didnt even hear me. i will not tolerate little kids being rude to me. and the teachers seemed to understand what i was talking about. and they told me not to hesitate to sit any of the kids down or anything. they said that it was perfectly fine. they said that we could send the kids inside, or do whatever we wanted to do with them. thre was some little boy at hodge rd yesterday that yelled, "DAMN!" when he didnt get the ball. i asked him what he said and he wouldnt tell me. then he pushed another kid down and ollivia made him go stand with her. that was like the 3rd time we had to sit him out that day. this week was just a bad week.

Discuss your two observations that we went on this week.
1.) What did you think about Knightdale? What did you think about Hodge Rd.?
2.) Evaluate the activity Mrs. Cram did at Knightdale. Are the (4) lessons that you have suitable to be demonstrated based on what you saw her do?
3.) Having actually seen the kids now, how does that change your approach in carrying out your actual lessons?

1. at knightdale elementary, i noticed that the teacher had lots of little games for the kids to play. and i started to think about the fact that we only have one game to play, unless you count the warm up.at hodge road elementary, i loved the environment with coach stidel in the gym. the kids were so energetic and they had lots of fun even just doing the stretches that he had planned for them.
2. ms cram at knightdale elementary had 4 different games planned. she had lots of different activities for the kids to play, so that they never had a chance to get bored.
3. i think that this will be a little harder than i thought. especially since we went to meet all of the kids at hodge road. they were just a little wilder and out of hand than i had originally expected, but i think it will be okay.

#2

Topic:

Evaluate the lesson that you presented to the class this week.
1. How do you think you and your partner(s) taught
2. What worked well for you?
3. What do you need to change/improve?
4. What do you see possibly being a weakness in your group?
5. Based on this performance would you say you are ready to begin your rotations at the Elementary School?

1. i think that me and my partners taught somewhat okay, but nobody wanted to listen to us.
2. it worked well that we had 2 games to play, even if we didnt get to play the second one.
3. we need to change the way that we give out the directions.
4. i see it being a weakness that casey isnt too vocal at times.
5. i think that casey and i need to work on working together, then we will be okay to go to the elementary schools.

my expectations for this year are to get to know a lot of kids that i will be teaching. i am really looking forward to being able to teach little kids. i love being around little kids, so i feel like this will be a good experience for me. the thing that im most excited for about this course is going to the schools and seeing the looks on the little kids faces when we come in to teach them. i think that i will be a good role model for the little kids because i can relate to them easy. i love being around little kids and just having fun with them.
